대나무 숲에서 짜릿한 체험과 맛있는 죽순 음식까지 즐기면 완전 힐링이겠지? 오는 2026년 4월 24일(금)부터 26일(일)까지 경상남도 거제시 하청면 거제북로 700에 위치한 거제맹종죽테마파크 일원에서 제11회 거제 맹종 대나무축제가 열린다.

이번 봄 축제는 싱그러운 대나무 숲속에서 지역 대표 특산물인 맹종죽을 중심으로 다양한 체험과 공연, 이벤트가 펼쳐지는 거제의 대표 봄 축제이다. 축제 기간 매일 오전 11시부터 오후 5시까지 무대 행사와 체험 프로그램이 운영되며(단, 24일은 일부 프로그램만 진행), 대나무 죽순 까기 체험, ‘나의 나무 키우기’, 내 손으로 만드는 죽순 음식 시식, 페이스페인팅, 풍선아트, 보물찾기, 룰렛 게임 등 온 가족이 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 이벤트가 마련된다.

특히 제11회 맹종죽 대나무축제 사진공모전이 함께 열리며, 작품 접수는 4월 24일 정오까지 축제 공식 홈페이지를 통해 가능하다.

입장료는 일반 성인 3,000원, 청소년(만 18세 미만) 2,000원이며, 3만여 그루의 대나무가 장관인 숲길 산책로와 모험의 숲 레포츠 시설을 이용할 수 있어 치유와 휴식을 동시에 누릴 수 있다.

The 11th Geoje Maengjong Bamboo Festival will be held from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the Geoje Maengjong Bamboo Theme Park located at 700 Geoje Buk-ro, Hacheong-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.
 
This spring festival is one of Geoje’s representative seasonal events, centered around maengjong bamboo, a local specialty, and takes place in a lush bamboo forest setting. Throughout the festival, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day (with limited programs on April 24), visitors can enjoy stage performances and hands-on activities. These include bamboo shoot peeling experiences, “Grow Your Own Tree,” tasting bamboo shoot dishes you make yourself, face painting, balloon art, treasure hunts, roulette games, and many more family-friendly events.

In particular, the 11th Maengjong Bamboo Festival Photo Contest will also be held. Submissions are open until noon on April 24 via the festival’s official website.
 
Admission fees are 3,000 KRW for adults and 2,000 KRW for youths (under 18). Visitors can explore scenic walking trails lined with around 30,000 bamboo trees and enjoy adventure forest leisure facilities, offering both relaxation and rejuvenation.
